Jonathan attends IASP 2012
This week Jonathan is in Estonia attending the 29th annual International Association of Science Parks world conference, organised by TEHNOPOL Tallinn Science Park. Today he will speak briefly in Pitch Session 2, covering R&D trends - acknowledging that busineses are spending more than ever on R&D and what this means for evolution of STPs.

Creative Places CEO Jonathan Burroughs was invited to speak at the 2011 IASP conference in Denmark in June
Over 500 delegates spanning 56 countries gathered in Copenhagen to discuss some of the new ways to secure growth and support for cities, regions and countries within the global knowledge economy.
Jonathan says 'In times when the research base is worried about funding, it is good that businesses want to pursue an open innovation agenda. Science and Technology Parks have a huge role to play in helping academics and industry to achieve their objectives. Success can have a massive impact on an area's economy.'
