Creative Places has been named Specialist Adviser of the Year at the prestigious Estates Gazette Awards held earlier this week. The awards were held at London's iconic Grosvenor House Hotel and property experts from across the country gathered to find out who would be named the best in the industry. Creative Places expert knowledge helps clients plan, create, manage and invest in collaborative places for people involved with research, R&D and innovation.

Jonathan Burroughs, CEO, Creative Places commented on collecting the award: “I am delighted that our success has been recognised in this way. We have an oustanding team and through a lot of hard work and a fantastically loyal client base we have built a strong foundation from which we have been able to achieve all that we have to date. This year Creative Places has undertaken work for MedCity across London and we are also working with Cambridge University to secure planning consent for a revitalised West Cambridge development plan. In addition, we are working with clients across the UK on projects that will help drive the UK economy forward – including within the Northern Powerhouse and Midlands Engine initiatives.”

The Cambridge-based firm specialises in advising clients on how to develop and invest in locations that can become ‘value add’ places to all that use them. Creative Places’ detailed knowledge of the research and R&D sectors helps clients create collaborative places that enhance innovation and enterprise. Patrick McMahon, senior partner at Bidwells, co-investors in Creative Places said: "We couldn't be more proud to see Creative Places scoop this respected award. It has grown from strength to strength and winning this award is testament to what the team have achieved since it was established in 2008. "Creative Places is an extension of the Bidwells family and both our teams have worked together on a number of key projects including Cambridge University’s West Cambridge Campus and Cambridge Biomedical Campus. We both offer very specialist advice, and our goals are the same, to offer clients access to well chosen, high opportunity markets, especially those within the Golden Triangle, where 80% of Bidwells consultancy work is concentrated."
