Norwich Research Park
Norwich Research Park is a major centre for food and health research, being home to the John Innes Centre, the Institute for Food Research, the University of East Anglia, the Sainsbury Laboratory and the Norwich and Norfolk Hospital. A major investment was planned for a new Research Institute by the Government and they needed advice in relation to land acquisition.
We worked closely with a number of public sector stakeholders to understand the real estate needs of the project and undertook a detailed negotiation with landowners to secure long term land ownership within a tight deadline and in the best location possible.
We were able to secure the Institute with a long-term interest in land adjoining the Norwich and Norfolk Hospital, in a timely fashion so that construction of the facility could proceed in line with Government expectation/funding allocation. The institute will be home to 300 researchers undertaking ground breaking research at the interface of food science, gut biology and health.
